How to Record IPTV Shows and Live Sports

Missing a live show or game because you were busy is frustrating. Many IPTV players support recording so you can capture live TV and watch it later on your own schedule. The recording capabilities vary between players so let me show you how to set up recording on the most popular IPTV apps.

Recording with TiviMate (Best Option)

TiviMate Premium offers the most robust recording feature. To record with TiviMate, navigate to the channel or program you want to record. Press the record button on your remote or long press OK and select Record from the menu. TiviMate supports both instant recording and scheduled recording.

For scheduled recording, open the EPG, find the program you want to record, press OK on it, and select Record from the options. TiviMate will start recording automatically at the scheduled time even if you are not watching that channel.

Recorded files are saved to the storage location you specify in settings. You can record to internal storage or to an external USB drive connected to your device. In TiviMate settings, go to Recording and set your preferred storage path and recording quality.

Recording with IPTV Smarters Pro

IPTV Smarters Pro supports recording on some devices. While watching a channel, look for the record icon in the player controls or long press on the channel name to access recording options. Tips for Recording Live Sports

Sports events often run longer than scheduled. If you are recording a 2-hour football match, set the recording to end 30 minutes after the scheduled end time to account for extra time, injuries, and potential overtime. In TiviMate you can adjust the end time when setting up a scheduled recording.

Start your recording a few minutes before the event starts so you do not miss the opening. And test your recording setup before important events to make sure everything works correctly.

Where Are Recorded Files Saved?
